Updated CORONAVIRUS Policy

In order to best serve our clients, patients, and community, starting Monday, March 23, 2020 Wyandotte Animal Hospital will be operating as a STAFF ONLY facility until further notice.  This means that only our staff are permitted to be in our offices.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but ask for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.  Our hope is to keep our staff safe and healthy in order to continue to provide quality and accessible care for our patients.

We will not be scheduling routine appointments such as vaccinations and wellness visits at this time.  If you already have an appointment scheduled for these types of appointments, we will honor your appointment time, but we ask that you consider rescheduling to a later date.

If you have an appointment at our office, please wait in your vehicle and call us at (734) 284-6466  so that we can walk you through our curbside protocol.

The exception to this rule is in the unfortunate event that you need to have your pet euthanized.  In such cases, clients will be allowed to enter our practice to be with their beloved pet during their last moments as long as the client(s) are themselves healthy.

If you need to pick up food or medications, we ask that you call ahead so we can put together your order and process your payment over the phone.  When you arrive in our parking lot, call the office and our staff will deliver your items out to your car. Consider stocking up on medications and food in the unfortunate event that we are shut down for quarantine.  We are now also offering a home delivery service through Hills Science Diet called “Hills to Home” where you can go to our website and order your Hills Prescription Diet as well as any of their other products, including regular diets and treats.  The food will ship directly from the Hills warehouse.  If you sign up for AutoShip, you will get 30% off your first order, and 5% off future orders. We also have a similar program with Purina called Purina vet direct.

As things stand, we will maintain regular business hours, but this may change.

For more information on COVID-19 and animals, please visit the CDC website  or check out the pet owner FAQs on the AVMA website.

We so greatly appreciate your loyalty and the friendships we share with you and your pets.  We are here for you. We will get through this. We will be stronger. Please reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns.
